ResidentWhat is it like to live at Braziers Park?
I put a big significance on the culture living here at Braziers down to the absence of a television. Life is filled with interaction, from discussion, music, and games all the way to karaoke, murder mysteries and the occasional impromptu play. That said, space and alone time is not only valued and respected, but encouraged. Everyone weaves their own patch into the Braziers tapestry and the ever changing result makes it both fascinating and beautiful.
How would you describe the community at Braziers?
Before I first arrived at Braziers, I assumed the community would hold some kind of consensus in ideology, most likely of the hippy variety, but one of the things that continues to surprise me is the variety of motivations people have for living or visiting here. From anthropological and social interest, to spiritual growth and moral pursuits. The only single belief system that seems to prevail is an interest in how other people think. Oh, and kindness!
Have you got a special place at Braziers – if so, could you tell us what makes it so special?
I have many, but if I had to pick one, it would be seated at the grand piano. Music plays a wonderful role in the place and has become an important part of my relationship to it.
