Three words to describe Braziers Park?

Cooperative inclusive living.

How would you describe the community at Braziers?

We have a mixture here of certain people being in charge and everybody having a free will. A lot of places have pressure to be either of those, however, we balance it very well. We share who does what. We have our daily 9am meetings to distribute tasks and works, which are always well attended. I see very little upstairs/downstairs attitude here at Braziers – in some places you have rulers that are looked upon critically for overruling, but that doesn’t seem to happen here.

Have you got a special place at Braziers Park – if so, can you tell us what makes it so special?

The wooden bench outside West Park, where we are sat right now. I can watch the pigeon from here nesting up in the Wisteria (...that’s a really hard working pigeon!). I also like looking after fires – I’m known for having lit many fires over the years. It’s a job I like doing, watching the fire.
