Alex (he/him)
Kitchen-Garden Link & ResidentHow would you describe Braziers Park to someone who has never heard of us before?
A sort of papier-mâché utopia – a space in which ideas and materials are routinely recycled and reshaped by those wishing to exist in an increasingly coherent and meaningful way. (As you may have guessed from that answer, it’s a place that tends to generate more questions than it answers.)
Tell us about your role/responsibilities at Braziers?
Currently, I’m responsible for ensuring that produce from our ‘no-dig’ garden is harvested correctly, and that it is either utilised within our kitchen immediately, or preserved for us to use across the winter months. This involves jamming, pickling, as well as certain amount of cider production!
Have you got a special place at Braziers - if so, can you tell us what makes it so special?
The secret picture gallery, part of the old light well. It’s a space in which images no longer deemed to be suitably aesthetic go to sit until our tastes have changed again.
